Production has been discontinued of the daily toric lens, Johnson & Johnson 1 Day Acuvue for Astigmatism. The toric daily disposable contact lenses are replaced by 1 Day Acuvue moist for astigmatism which can be used without a new fitting, since the lenses have the same base curve, diameter, material and water content. The main difference is an extra moisture ingredient in the moist version; no new prescription is required.
Hi, I’ve just received an letter from my opticians asking me to pop in to find an alternative as I use these discontinued lenses.
Aside from the extra moisture, do you know if these new lenses are likely to be very similar to their predecessor, i.e. will they still cover the same prescription range?
